Journaling for mental health
I would like to invite you on the journey of journaling. I will be sharing useful tips about taking better control of your overall and whole well-being and healthy self.
Leaders serve leaders to-be-coming themselves. I like to share what I understand about journaling and how you can be your own author of your own whole health.
Have you ever watched films, movies, read articles, and felt emotionally moved by them? Have you ever wondered what happens in your brain and nervous systems then?
The truth is that we journal throughout life and through human experiences. There are many types of journals, for example, cooking, creating music, travelling and gardening, etc.
These activities bring back memories and often we are not aware of these memories or traces of memories, and what integration or disintegration might have happened in our nervous and brain systems as we carry out these activities.
Remember
We might feel triggered, reminded of something, in another word the body through the nervous systems remembers the past event(s), and the brain systems are reorganizing themselves to recreate the ‘story’ that is based on the event that has already happened and this prompts the bodily chemical reaction.
When it comes to body pain and the experience of it, it cannot be separated from the brain’s reaction and/ or response therefore a mindset and a shift of mindsets must be acknowledged and the information energy flow must be understood with it.
One of the most effective mindset-shifter techniques is journaling. The technique is simple, focus on the energy flow from
- Body
- Thought
- Emotion
Journaling and writing can reorganize the brain systems, so it is very helpful as you pay attention to the information energy flow. Write down your bodily reactions, your thoughts and your emotional reactions after a while a pattern will show up.
What to do when you are more aware of the pattern?
