I celebrate my wins
I also recognize my own wins in others’ wins whom I connected to. And sometimes years later I hear back that what I did to the one affected others who were in connection. A ripple effect you might say, and it doesn’t end. There are those with whom I am not directly connected and never hear from. And yet I know my action-taking advanced them for the better too.
1 year ago I started to post my ideas on my website. As a former educator, I never thought that one day I will take an online platform to share what I know, think and believe. I have been learning to build a stronger trust system in me and it forces the power in me to create.
It takes courage to do what you know and think is right and you know it serves others yet your limiting belief doesn’t allow you to move, voice and be. Believing what you say requires consistent personal developmental work. It takes courage to call your own nonsense out and get detached from the belief, behavioural patterns and biochemistry that you nurtured for a long or a short time.
The key is in the process
When you celebrate make your somatic experience memorable. You need to make a point of joy when perception no longer matters. Where without the made-up paradigms you dare to be.
During my studies in Philosophy, I admired Socrates with the simple method of questioning and seeking to listen to answers, he tried to help others to ‘give birth to truth’. Socrates was a philosopher, teacher and nurse you might say. However, now I know he was a mentor and sometimes a coach-therapist. His famous summary of philosophy (love of knowledge) – ‘know yourself’.
No matter how small your win is make a point note of it. Especially, if you are in survival mode, reflect on your day and raise questions such as at What point you felt better? What caused it? How did it make you feel? How can you create more of this feeling? What action you might need to take to create more of this feeling?
This is worth celebrating the knowledge that you gain as you turn over the lies about the self and discover something timeless and something anciently sacred about the self that you embody. The true self shows up more, you communicate more from the place of integrity, authenticity and love.
Remember to make memories
Culturally, we eat and drink when we celebrate. The healthier way to make a note of your win and celebrate it, is by creating a healthier not suppressive pattern of the somatic experience, be with that joy and happy moment as long as it takes to observe it and take it in.
I remember the feeling when the colourful fireworks display was going up in the sky so close to my window it felt like I was in a shower of sparkly colours. I remember that my energy frequency started to rise. With it, the emotions of excitement, creativity and connectedness rose. I wanted to make a memory of it by taking a picture.
With my camera in my hand, I turned around and the sparkly colourful and fiery shower was over. And the internal narrative was not acknowledged and embraced fully. My takeaway from the short experience was, to stay with the emotions. This is how I make more memorable, positive and celebratory somatic experiences for myself.
I wish you well on your healing journey
